We have an amazing opportunity for an OB Team Member to gain some work experience with our Finance Department. During this placement you will work closely with the Finance team, to gain a good introduction to Finance and a broader understanding of the Finance function at Oliver Bonas
Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo.
This placement will last two weeks and take place w/c 10th July 2023 OR 14th August 2023
A bit more about the placement…
During your placement, you will …
- Cover all aspects of work in the Finance team, including some excel based reconciliation work, invoice processing and ad hoc tasks to support the team
- Spend time talking through each role within the team and running through each team members day to day tasks. Finance Managers will also teach the candidate some basic accounting principles
- Attend Finance related meetings (alongside Finance Managers and Finance Director) to demonstrate how the Finance team fits into the wider business
- Shadow the Accounts Payable, Treasury, Commercial Finance, Management Accounting and Reporting functions
- Gain a great introduction to Finance and a broader understanding of the Finance function at Oliver Bonas
What you need to know…
- This work experience placement will be unpaid, but you will receive a subsistence payment to help towards some of your daily costs – this will be up to £20 per day of your placement.
- You will need to discuss with your line manager if you will be able to commit to the dates outlined at the top of this job description
- Any time spent away from your role will need to be either taken as holiday or as unpaid time off
- Not based near SO? Be sure to check if you will be able to travel for your placement and have accommodation arranged if needed.
