We have a great opportunity for a Quality Control Team Member to join Team OB in our Warehouse in Andover.

This role is part time, and there is some flexibility on shift pattern. This role will need to cover our key intake days across Monday to Wednesday, but we are open to discussing your availability. Options of shifts below:

22.5 hours per week - Monday to Wednesday 9:30am-17:00pm
25 hours per week - Monday to Friday 9:30am-14:30pm
25 hours per week - Sunday to Thursday 9:30am-14:30pm

This is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, with the potential to be extended.

Our Warehouse is based at Unit 2, 40 Stephenson Close, East Portway Industrial Estate, Andover, SP10 3RU.

More about the role …

As the Quality Control Team Member at our Andover Warehouse, your will support key quality control activities on a part-time basis. These include furniture inspections, 100% inspections, re-work and relabelling.

You will work both independently and alongside the Assistant Quality Controller. As part of the wider Quality Control team, you will liaise with colleagues in the Andover Warehouse, Quality Control and Customer Services. This is a physical role involving regular work in the warehouse, assisting in checking deliveries, lifting and moving boxes from various locations manually and with the use of a forklift.

You will also occasionally undertake Warehouse duties under the direction of Warehouse Management such as store picking, web order packing and dispatching, and returns processing

Ideally, you will have experience in warehousing and quality control or hold a relevant qualification.

As an OB Quality Control Team Member you will

• Supporting QC activities including furniture inspection (unpacking and repacking stock), 100% inspections, re-works, and relabelling

• QC inspection sample picking from deliveries

• Furniture returns processing

• Picking and dispatching second quality goods to stores

• Faulty product inspections and system movements

• QC stock movements

• QC stock Inventory upkeep and Stocktake support

• Providing cover during QC annual leave and other absence

• Managing Charity collections and offsite QC works logistics

• Warehouse returns processing, web orders packing and dispatching

• Assisting with Intake checks during deliveries

• Ensure that the warehouse is left clean and tidy and presentable for the day shift

• Make sure that health and safety policy is adhered to at all times

What we look for:

• Forklift operating experience is advantageous, although on-the-job training is available.

• Warehouse operational experience

• QC knowledge would be advantageous

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A methodical approach with the ability to organise, prioritise and make sound decisions.

• Keen eye for details

• Ability to work in a team and independently.

• Ability to undertake manual handling/heavy lifting
