We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join Team OB in our Support Office.

As an Analytics Engineer at OB, you will support the delivery of performance reporting, commercial insights and building solid data foundations in the Cloud data warehouse.

You will play an integral role in interrogating data, building dashboards and distilling key insights on potential solutions to business problems impacting decision-making.

Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. We offer hybrid working with a split of 3 days in the office and 2 days home working per week, and are open to having conversations about working flexibly.

An OB Analytics Engineer will:

• Identify trends, correlations and patterns in business performance from in-depth analyses and articulate insights from data to offer potential recommendations

• Produce automated reporting and visualisations in Tableau to support trading decisions

• Query large datasets and support data provisioning requests from Marketing, Ecommerce and Buying & Merchandising departments

• Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities, offer innovative solutions and measure the impact of initiatives

• Work with Data Engineers in the team on data integrity and using tools like DBT to transform data from source systems as well as non-systemic information (e.g., Excel)

• Apply design-thinking, dimensional modelling and code-driven approach (documented in GitHub) to build data models to optimise data-warehouse and reporting performance

• Deliver advanced analytics like (but not limited to) forecasting, customer segmentation, predictive modelling and LTV and to support personalisation, top-line (sales) growth and efficiencies in spend and distribution performances

What we look for:

Knowledge / experience

• Proficiency in SQL coding in Google BigQuery / other Cloud platforms

• Hands-on expertise in dashboarding and visualisation using Tableau / other BI tools

• Deep understanding of data structures, data modelling applying best practices (e.g., Kimball methodology) and orchestration tools like DBT/Airflow

• Advanced analytics and insights articulation

• Knowledge of GitHub for documentation

• Coding and data visualisation skills as needed in a high performing Data team

• Strong communications skills to manage stakeholder expectations and project timelines

• Right behaviours in line with OB values and having an independent perspective

Good to have:

• Experience with Python

• Understanding of JSON formats and data ingestion / ETL techniques

• Ability to apply AI / ML techniques for predictive modelling
