We have an amazing opportunity for a Data Engineer to join Team OB in our Support Office.

As a Data Engineer at OB, you will play a pivotal role in technically delivering our data and analytical product within our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Data, you will be taking ownership of the current data warehouse (DWH) setup.

It will be beneficial if you have worked within an Ecommerce setting to understand the data sources involved and to work with stakeholders across the business to facilitate their needs.

You will be responsible for maintaining the ELT pipelines to our BigQuery DWH to support the central BI analysts with analysis & reporting.

Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. We are working a 50/50 split of office and home working.

OB’s Data Engineer will:

Accountable for maintaining and optimising ELT processes
Collaborate with Data team to identify requirements and business logic to develop data flow
Identify and address any issues with data quality, accuracy or availability
Support the integration of BI visualisation tools that utilise the data pipeline
Implement process improvements to automate manual processing tasks
Manage, maintain and develop data pipeline processes across OB’s tech stack
Responsible for managing the integrity of data quality, accuracy, and availability

What we look for:

Advance level Python and SQL coding skills is a must
Demonstrated strength in data modelling, ELT development and data warehousing
Taking data from multiple sources and ingesting it via Airflow into a data warehouse
Previous knowledge of using DBT
Query performance tuning skills
Hands on experience with setting up, managing, and optimising multiple data pipelines (experience in Airflow is beneficial)
Good knowledge of testing principles
