We have an amazing opportunity for a Digital Design Manager to join Team OB in our Support Office on a 9 - 12 month Maternity Cover Contract.

As a Digital Design Manager at OB, you will be responsible for leading the visual design and UX of the Oliver Bonas trading website, alongside marketing assets.

You will be managing a team of three working on our responsive website, in addition to an external development agency supporting the content management system

Drawing upon your previous experience, you will be an innovative and creative thinker with the ability to drive and deliver customer centric design and engaging content.

This is an exciting and fast paced role suitable for someone who thrives at leading and generating design-led solutions in an ecommerce environment.

Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. We are working a 50/50 split of office and home working.

An OB Digital Design Manager will:

  • Outstanding creative eye, adept in creation of engaging layouts and designs through digital assets including photography and typography. You will take ownership for digital deployment
  • Develop UX, using data -led insights to provide solutions that improve user experience across our websites
  • Collaborate with buying, campaign and CRM teams to publish, schedule and deliver visual aspects of the trading calendar covering all aspects of digital deployment including homepage, landing pages and marketing channels
  • Provide balance of creative and commercial concepts that meet business objectives and push the design boundaries
  • Develop sign-off and feedback process, ensuring all output meets the brand and style guidelines and can grow at scale
  • Develop documentation for internal governance of our bespoke CMS platform based on
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to your team of three across digital design and UX.
  • Planning and resourcing of the Design team to support demand from the business
  • Mentor and coach through feedback, progress chats, and appraisals to ensure all team members have clear goals that inspire and develop
  • Additional management of external agency relationships to improve CMS platform and scoping and design of new components
  • Keep abreast of changes and trends in web development in order to implement them where relevant.
  • Lead and work as part of digital or wider organisational project teams as required.

What we look for:

  • Expert knowledge in majority of programmes in Adobe creative suite – Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Use of Figma
  • Web Design / UX degree or equivalent and experience desirable
  • Experience of defining and maintaining brand standards
  • Previous experience working for an online or ecommerce retailer
  • HTML and CSS experience
  • Experience of digital content production
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of stakeholder management
