We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join Team OB in our Andover Warehouse.


As a Warehouse Manager at OB, you will be a confident, persuasive, and self-sufficient leader with exemplary people management skills.


This role will involve being extremely proactive in learning all relevant systems and using this knowledge to achieve a smoothly run and efficient logistics operation. You will be experienced in planning, directing, and controlling all aspects of a busy warehouse, including receiving goods, quality control, put-away, picking, fulfilment dispatch, stock control, and delivery of a wide variety of products and supplies to all our stores. With a growing website, you will also be responsible for ensuring our ecommerce orders are picked and dispatched in line with delivery SLAs.


Coming from a hands-on operational role, you will demonstrate the ability to keep a warehouse and distribution environment running smoothly daily and through periods of peak activity. OB’s Warehouse Manager will contribute to other areas of the business to support projects and changes within the company.


Your typical working hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00 -16:00. You will, however be required to work flexibly and cover the necessary hours to ensure deadlines are met.

More about the role …

OB’s Warehouse Manager will:

• Manage the warehouse across a 6 & 7 day week and multiple shift patterns

• Review, redesign and develop warehouse and logistics procedures.

• Evaluate space allocation and implement any recommended changes to improve efficiency and ensure future capacity requirements are met.

• Plan and organise the site’s resource based on forecasted orders, implement rotas and work planners to support the resource plan.

• Maintain excellent stock accuracy – plan and manage rolling stock checks to ensure entire warehouse is checked every 3 months.

• Implement performance management KPIs to measure and monitor individual department’s performance and productivity.

• Submit and manage an annual budget for warehouse and logistics departments.

• Adapting processes and resources to support business changes.

• Lead and manage the team, instilling Oliver Bonas’ culture and ensuring your team are valued, well trained and supported at work.

• Provide constant feedback for team members, holding regular 1:1 meetings, monthly team meetings, conducting appraisals and managing any performance issues.

• Attending monthly company meetings and presenting departmental stats and reports

• Ensuring complete compliance with regulatory and Health & Safety requirements.

• Overseeing the planned maintenance of company vehicles, machinery and equipment.

What we look for:

• Previous experience in managing the operational logistics of an e-commerce or retail fulfilment business.

• Extensive knowledge of previous warehouse and logistics management systems and understanding the impact they have on driving an efficient business unit.

• Knowledge of statutory requirements with regard to health and safety.

• Experience building strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal customers.

• Open communication style, with a proven ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate at all levels, internally and externally, through written and verbal communication.

• Commercial awareness

• Problem-solving skills and an ability to work on a strategic level.

• Possess a proactive approach to your work, striving to make improvements to improve productivity.

• Computer literate with intermediate or advanced Microsoft skills and experience using stock management systems for routine reporting and troubleshooting.

• Self-motivated with a positive "can do" attitude.
