We have an amazing opportunity for a Digital Development Manager to join Team OB in our Support Office.

As a Digital Development Manager at OB you will be responsible for developing the Oliver Bonas trading website, as well as working with the wider business for cross-departmental projects in this newly created Ecommerce Development Manager role,

You will be managing an initial team of two working across site development and support, in addition to an external development agency and you will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the business.

Drawing upon your previous experience, you will be a clear and confident communicator with the ability to share complex information or processes in a concise way. You will also be innovative and well-organised with the ability to drive forward projects and ensure they are completed on time and in full.

Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. We are working a 50/50 split of office and home working.

More about the role …

An OB Digital Development Manager will:

  • Lead the development of our mobile focused website and any subsequent sites or applications
  • Ownership of our UAT environment
  • Work with stakeholders to develop scope of project (SOP), brief building and reviewing Statement of works (SOW) and quotes
  • Ensure that all development meets the requirements of the brief and that any change requests are documented before sign-off
  • Scheduling of development and sprint planning with communication management of estimated delivery timelines and updates
  • QA testing of completed projects and scheduling for live release
  • Manage technical requests from our SEO team and agency partners ensuring all tasks are processed
  • Experience of managing and testing Magento upgrades for both full release and patches
  • Management, publication and maintenance of internal development roadmap
  • Development of ticketing system for internal support, query tracking and bug fixes
  • Building and developing an efficient and highly motivated team
  • Working as part of wider organisational project teams as required.

What we look for:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience working for an online or ecommerce business
  • Experience of managing front and back-end development ideally within a Magento 2 environment
  • JIRA/Click-UP experience desired but not essential
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
