We are looking for Seasonal Goods in Assistants to join Team OB in our Warehouse based in Chessington.

This role is 35 hours per week, and we have 2 shift patterns available (there could need to be flexibility working occasional Saturdays.) This will be a Fixed Term contract running from mid to late August until the end of December.

  • Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Monday to Friday 10:00am-6:00pm

You will work in our Goods In department as we prepare to receive stock in ahead of the busy Christmas period. As we approach the lead up to December, you may also work with other teams across the warehouse.

As a Seasonal Goods In Assistant at OB you will be responsible for accurately receiving stock into the warehouse ensuring that the Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a reflection of the stock received. You will be responsible for counting stock on a daily basis, reporting any discrepancies of damages. Reporting to the Goods In Team Leader, you will work in collaboration with and be communicating across several internal teams, aiming to provide a smooth goods in warehouse operation.

Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo.

As a Goods in Assistant in our Warehouse you will:

  • Receive stock on a daily basis and ensure that the stock levels are correct across the in the Warehouse and warehouse management system.
  • Ensure that the stock received is counted accurately and checked for damages.
  • Put stock away when needed.
  • Report delivery discrepancies
  • Unload containers by hand
  • Use a forklift truck to unload deliveries.
  • Use an android/windows scanner pick for the stores.
  • Ensure that all stock leaving the warehouse is accurate and has been documented accordingly.
  • Develop your own self awareness and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusivity.
  • Challenge exclusionary behaviour and your support your team members
  • Always keep a safe and clean working environment.
  • Assist with ad-hoc admin duties within the Warehouse team.
  • Keep walkways and warehouse fire exit routes clear from obstructions.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the Warehouse.

What we look for:

  • Must be conscientious with a good eye for detail.
  • Willingness to undertake duties involving heavy lifting and lots of walking.
  • Must be comfortable working with Windows and Android handheld scanners and in-house warehouse systems.
  • Good verbal communication with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Focus on diligence and accuracy.
  • Team player, kind and helpful towards others
  • Experience of working in a Warehouse environment is advantageous.
