We are looking for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join Team OB in our Chessington Warehouse.

As a Warehouse and Logistics Manager at OB, you will be responsible for the warehouse and logistics departments and ensure the operation runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. This will include managing the goods in, put away, replenishment, stock control, picking and logistics teams.


You will work closely with the warehouse team leaders to coach and develop the wider team. You will have a strong presence throughout the warehouse area ensuring that all stock is received, picked, packed and delivered in accordance with our store delivery schedule, standard operating procedures, and all health and safety policies.

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will lead projects to improve warehouse and logistics processes and systems, working collaboratively with various other teams across the business.


Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. You may be required to work from multiple sites to oversee activity across our three distribution centres.

More about the role …

OB’s Warehouse and Logistics Manager will:

• Work with the Team Leaders to plan resourcing needs for Warehouse Team Members during peak periods

• Hold and lead weekly team leader meetings, ensuring that your team leaders are informed on all relevant departmental and business-wide updates.

• Brief teams on any new initiatives and rollouts, always maintaining a positive attitude to gain buy-in from your team

• Recognise your team’s achievements and celebrate team wins together.

• Oversee the cross-training needs and work with the Team Leaders in all parts of the warehouse to identify opportunities.

• Provide cover for the Head of Warehouse and Logistics when needed by attending meetings, presentations and disciplinary hearings

• Ensure that performance reviews are held with all Team Leaders and Team Members to maximise training opportunities, address concerns, and contribute to improving Team Member performance while developing Team Leader’s leadership skills

• Support Team Leaders to manage performance issues, seeking guidance from the People team as needed

• Drive process improvement efforts amongst the team

• Lead projects that support Oliver Bonas’ company growth year-on-year

• Identify ways that teams can be more efficient and effective with safety, compliance and productivity in mind while supporting the health and safety team and representatives.

• Evaluating workloads across warehouse departments daily to ensure that resource is deployed to the right areas based on business priorities.

• Review KPIs daily to monitor performance, sharing relevant updates, progress or concerns with the Head of Warehouse and Logistics

• Building relationships with third-party suppliers to ensure we receive the highest levels of service

What we look for:

• Previous experience in managing large warehouse and logistics teams necessary

• Ability to identify problems and trends, take own initiative and provide and implement solutions with guidance

• A Confident and assertive decision-maker and problem-solver

• Great people skills with the ability to train and mentor others

• Computer literate in Microsoft packages with the ability to learn new systems and functions

• Strong organisational and planning skills

• Effective communicator
