Finance Manager - Financial Control

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join Team OB in our Support Office.
As a Finance Manager at OB, you will work across a mix accounting, analysis and systems to fully immerse yourself in the business and have significant exposure to our directors.
You will have responsibility for management and statutory accounting, balance sheet integrity and our ecommerce transactional workflows. The role also incorporates business partnering as well as elements of budgeting and forecasting and will give great all-around business finance experience.
Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. We offer hybrid working with a split of 3 days in the office and 2 days home working per week, and are open to having conversations about working flexibly.

An OB Finance Manager will:
• Oversee and complete the timetabling, organisation, preparation and execution of the monthly management accounts process to meet company deadlines, covering P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, intercompany and consolidation for all group companies
• Be responsible for the monthly management accounts and external reporting pack. Further improving reporting to ensure it is completed as accurately and efficiently as possible, and develop business storytelling to bring life to the numbers
• Ensure all figures reported in the monthly management accounts are accurate and have been thoroughly reviewed with variances to plan investigated and understood
• Assist with any additional month end procedures, analysis and reporting required
• Set out and maintain schedule of preparers and reviewers of all balance sheet accounts.
• Develop reconciliation processes and understanding of reconciliations amongst the finance team
• Review or carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the full balance sheet
• Work with the Financial Controller and Management Accountant on the year end accounting procedures, consolidation and intercompany accounting and statutory accounting of the UK, Irish and Jersey entities
• Alongside the Finance Director and Senior Finance Manager, act as the main point of contact for external auditors and internal queries on the annual audit processes for all Oliver Bonas entities. Ensuring that information requested from the auditors is completed accurately and on time
• Develop in depth understanding of the website and marketplace sale, return, payment, refund and stock movement transactional flows
• Oversee website and marketplaces sales reconciliations, ensuring issues are followed up daily
• Review reconciliation of payment provider accounts for web and marketplaces
• Work on finance, ecommerce and operations projects identifying areas for improvement or savings. Ensuring that finance is at forefront of testing and information passed through to finance systems is accurate
• Review staff expense reports and payment runs and monthly credit card statements, ensuring claims and usage are within company policy and VAT has been accurately processed
• Support the FP&A team with annual forecasting and budgeting process

What we look for:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
• Experience in the management of senior level, non-finance stakeholders and be able to present financial data to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Prior experience using accounting systems and/or ERP systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and technical accounting understanding
• Highly organised, with the ability to multi-task
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work to tight deadlines
